Hull's historic timeball returns to its mast after restoration
The city's century-old time-keeping device is being lifted back into place on Lowgate following a detailed restoration project. The mechanism, which drops at Greenwich Mean Time to help mariners calibrate their instruments, has been repaired at no extra cost to the taxpayer.
