Since 2022, the Monkwearmouth Salvation Army has held regular events to fund medical essentials and toiletries for hospitals in Ukraine. Organised alongside Ukrainian refugees who have settled in the region, the initiative provides a direct way for the local community to support those affected by the ongoing conflict.
