Rookwood Operations has successfully trialled a new filtration system in Chew Valley Reservoir that captures phosphates before they can trigger oxygen-depleting algal blooms. By turning the captured chemical into reusable fertiliser, the invention offers a way to protect water quality while helping farmers reduce their costs.
