Public finance bodies including the British Business Bank and Innovate UK have invested £50bn into UK firms since 2024, helping to support over 800,000 jobs. The government has now increased the combined capacity of these institutions to £193bn, providing businesses with more resources to scale, innovate, and reach international markets.
