Archaeologist discovers prehistoric remains in Wogan Cavern beneath Pembroke Castle
While visiting Pembroke Castle in 2010, archaeologist John Bolton identified an unexcavated cave that has since yielded rare evidence of early humans and animals, including hippopotamus bones from 120,000 years ago. The University of Aberdeen is now launching a five-year study of the site, which researchers believe could provide significant new insights into Britain's prehistoric past.
