Emergency services, including three Coastguard teams and an RNLI crew, were called to Pwllheli inner harbour on Wednesday evening to assist a man trapped in mud. The lifeboat team freed him before Coastguard officers used a rescue sled to bring him to safety, where he was passed into the care of the Welsh Ambulance Service.
