Turntide Technologies has started manufacturing modular batteries at its Team Valley factory for Hitachi Rail UK, following a successful trial on the Grand Central fleet. These batteries can be retrofitted to over 600 existing engines, offering a way to reduce fuel costs and lower emissions across the UK rail network.
