Stuart Hind, 61, has reached a decade of living with a Left Ventricular Assist Device after it was fitted to treat his cardiomyopathy. The device has allowed him to return to walking in the Lake District, highlighting the long-term impact of mechanical circulatory support for patients with heart failure.
