Work has begun on a new housing project in Pontycymer, Bridgend, where a former pub site will become 12 one and two-bedroom flats offered at social rent. The Ffaldau Arms, which was destroyed by fire in 2007, will be replaced by the development led by Valleys to Coast housing association. The flats will be located on Oxford Street, with local amenities and transport links nearby, and the project includes a £5,000 donation for community initiatives.
