The North East has seen a significant rise in filming activity over the last four years, resulting in 1,419 new jobs and an £88.5m boost to the local economy. Supported by the North East Production Fund, the region is increasingly becoming a hub for major television and film projects, providing consistent work for local crews and businesses.
