An Oxfam volunteer in Bristol discovered a rare signed first edition of Virginia Woolf’s The Waves in a donated box of books. The 1931 Hogarth Press edition, inscribed by Woolf, was sold at auction for £25,600. The donor remains unknown, but the find has brought a significant boost to the charity shop’s funds.
