Honorary Recorder of Liverpool Judge Andrew Menary KC has retired after a 43-year career in the law, which began with victories in his first 32 jury trials and included leading Liverpool Crown Court through the challenges of the pandemic. Appointed Recorder in 2019, he leaves with the court having the shortest backlog in the UK.
