Liverpool FC has been awarded the Hedgehog Cup after a six-week competition to improve habitats for the UK's declining hedgehog population. By installing hedgehog houses at their training centre and updating groundskeeping practices, the club helped raise awareness for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society's efforts to protect native wildlife.
