A volunteer at The National Archives in Kew has uncovered a rare copy of the Declaration of Independence while cataloguing Royal Navy papers. This document, one of only 11 printed in New Hampshire in 1776, was seized by British forces at sea and is the only known example of its kind outside the United States.
