Rhondda Cynon Taf reduces number of long-term empty homes by over 800
The number of private sector homes sitting empty for six months or more in Rhondda Cynon Taf has fallen by 869 since 2017. By introducing council tax premiums on vacant properties and second homes, the local authority has incentivised owners to bring these houses back into use - helping to increase available housing stock in the area.
