Bayeux Tapestry to be displayed in the UK for the first time
The 11th-century Bayeux Tapestry is coming to the British Museum for a 10-month exhibition while its home in Normandy undergoes renovation. Tens of thousands of people have already queued for tickets to see the 70m-long embroidery, which will be displayed in one continuous line for the first time in centuries.
