Duke of York’s theatre to become Tom Stoppard theatre in honour of playwright
The Duke of York’s theatre in London’s West End will be renamed the Tom Stoppard theatre to celebrate the late playwright’s legacy. The change comes as the theatre is staging a revival of his 1993 play Arcadia, a production that previously ran there in 2009. Stoppard’s wife said the new name will help keep his memory alive through both his work and the venue itself.
