A Gravesend-based company has submitted plans to convert parts of the former Debenhams and Barclays Bank in New Road into 33 flats, aiming to revitalise the town centre. The proposal would keep the ground floor for commercial use while turning the upper floors into housing, with a focus on creating a car-free, residential-led development. The project is intended to support the regeneration of the area by bringing a long-vacant building back into use.
