New guidance from the health watchdog NICE recommends that women with polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS) should have annual NHS checks to monitor both symptoms and long-term risks like diabetes and heart disease. Sharon Manship, who waited over a decade for a diagnosis, contributed to the guidelines after living with PMOS for 30 years.
