A large mural of Southport golfer Tommy Fleetwood has been painted at Southport and Birkdale Sports Club ahead of The Open returning to the town in July. The artwork, created by local artist Paul Curtis, covers a 50m by 20m wall and is based on a photo of Fleetwood from the 2023 Ryder Cup. The piece is part of efforts to celebrate the 154th Open Golf Championship at Royal Birkdale, with Fleetwood aiming for his first major win on home soil.
