Specialist firefighters from Merseyside have been deployed to Venezuela as part of a UK search and rescue team to assist in the aftermath of two major earthquakes. The team, which includes personnel from 14 fire services across the country, is now working to locate survivors trapped under rubble after the disaster claimed over 900 lives.
