A statue of Elizabeth Andrews OBE JP, a pioneering campaigner for women's and children's rights, was unveiled in Trehafod on June 25. The statue is the fifth and final in the Monumental Welsh Women series, which aims to celebrate overlooked female figures in Welsh history. The event included performances and speeches from local and political figures, highlighting her legacy of challenging inequality in the coalfields communities.
