With temperatures reaching 30C, pupils at Maidstone Grammar School for Girls have been holding lessons in the school's historic underground air-raid shelters. These tunnels, which remain naturally cool, provide a comfortable alternative to classrooms during the current extreme heat, while offering students a firsthand look at the school's wartime history.
