As temperatures in Guernsey climbed above 33C, staff at La Houguette Primary School introduced footbaths and utilised a nearby World War Two bunker to help pupils manage the heat. These measures allowed lessons to continue in comfort, providing a practical solution to keep the children focused during an unusual period of high temperatures.
