Over 1.2 million Octopus Energy customers were invited to lower their electricity consumption between 7.30pm and 8.30pm to help stabilise the national grid during a recent heatwave. By reducing demand during this peak period, the initiative aims to manage pressure on the energy network when supply is constrained by high temperatures and lower wind generation.
