Walker Park in Newcastle is set to get two new Playzones as part of a £415,000 investment to tackle anti-social behaviour and improve access to sports. The project will see a 3G pitch and tarmac games area built, run by Walker Central Football Club, offering free and low-cost sessions for football, netball and cricket. The park has faced ongoing issues with vandalism and disorder, and this development aims to provide a safer, more inclusive space for local residents.
