The Bristol Nights partnership has won a Music Cities Award for its ticket levy project, which aims to raise £1 million annually for the city's grassroots music scene. The local authority had initially planned to cut the programme and the role of nighttime economy adviser Carly Heath, but reinstated both following public pressure from the cultural sector.
