Three critically endangered Blue-crowned laughingthrush chicks have hatched at Blackpool Zoo, just over an hour from Liverpool, marking a rare and important success for the species. With fewer than 1,000 birds left in the wild and in captivity, the three new chicks significantly aid conservation efforts. The fledglings are already delighting zoo visitors with their powerful songs and are a vital step in preventing the species from vanishing.
