British armed forces intercept Russian shadow fleet oil tanker in the English Channel
Royal Marine commandos and National Crime Agency officers boarded the sanctioned vessel Smyrtos during a six-hour operation in the Channel. The tanker is now being moved to the south coast for monitoring, marking a direct move to disrupt the funding sources behind the conflict in Ukraine.
