The NHS will offer a MenB vaccine to around one million people at highest risk of meningitis B, including Year 13 pupils and those under 25 starting university in 2026. The move follows recent outbreaks, including a serious one in Kent earlier this year. Health Secretary James Murray said the one-off programme aims to reduce the risk of serious illness and larger outbreaks as young people transition into university and residential college settings.
