Northumberland welcomed 11 million visitors in 2025, the highest number ever recorded and the first time tourist numbers have exceeded pre-pandemic levels. The tourism sector now contributes £1.58 billion to the local economy, more than double its value in 2015, supporting 15,000 jobs and playing a key role in the region's economic strategy.
