Coastal protection works begin in Northumberland to safeguard Cresswell and Beadnell
Northumberland County Council has started eight weeks of work in Cresswell to protect the area from coastal erosion, including installing new rock armour and improving drainage. Further north, the Beadnell Coastal Protection Scheme is also on track, with contractors repairing and strengthening the coastal defence wall to protect the village and beach access. These efforts aim to guard against future storm damage and winter weather.
