Kent class and teacher win Britain’s Funniest with joke about onion rings
A Year 6 class at Joy Lane Primary School in Whitstable has been named Britain’s Funniest Class with a joke about onion rings. Their teacher, Bethan Crowe, also won Britain’s Funniest Teacher. The winning joke, 'I didn't think food could make calls, but then: boom! Onion rings,' will appear in the Beano magazine, alongside prizes including a comic subscription for the class and a day trip to Gulliver’s theme park.
