Historic Queensway Tunnel monument returns to Liverpool city centre
A monument designed by architect Herbert Rowse has been reinstated at the entrance to the Queensway Tunnel after being removed in the 1960s. The restoration is part of wider public realm improvements at Old Haymarket, which also include the conservation of the original Art Deco toll booths. The project preserves a key piece of the city's transport heritage while creating a new focal point for residents and visitors.
