Five NHS hospitals have begun using a DNA-based urine test for bladder cancer, replacing the traditional, invasive cystoscopy procedure. By allowing patients to provide samples at home, the new method is increasing testing uptake and providing a more comfortable alternative for those at risk of the disease.
