North Northumberland mill gives free entry this summer to mark 50 years as a working museum
Heatherslaw Corn Mill in North Northumberland is offering free admission this summer to celebrate 50 years as a working museum. Still producing stoneground flour from local grains, the Grade II listed site on the River Till has been preserved by a charitable trust since 1957. Visitors can learn about sustainable milling and the history of the craft, while the mill continues to supply flour to locals and businesses in the area.
