The Lord Byron in Margate has received a £15,000 prize and a tech upgrade after winning a nationwide competition for community pubs. Former England player Joe Cole visited the venue to present the award, highlighting the role the pub plays in bringing local residents together after they successfully campaigned to save it from closure.
