A Northumberland village has received planning permission for a community-led solar farm that could generate enough electricity for 300 homes. The project, led by Acomb Community Energy, will use 1,656 solar panels to produce clean energy and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. The solar array will be built on a four-acre field and will also support local biodiversity.
