A UK consortium has received government funding to develop a new recycling process called ReCAM, which turns lithium-ion battery waste directly into cathode materials. The project aims to boost the UK’s battery industry by creating a sustainable, domestic recycling solution. It involves the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre, Watercycle Technologies, Recyclus Group, and Polaron.
