The William Harvey hospital in Ashford is getting a £3.9m upgrade to its heart care facilities, including a new cardiac catheter laboratory. This will allow patients to have procedures like angioplasty and pacemaker fittings closer to home, reducing the need to travel to London. The lab is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
