Sheffield Forgemasters has started assembling steel for the UK's largest open die forging line as part of its £1.3bn recapitalisation programme. The 45 metre high steel frame on the Brightside site will house the new forging line. The company is expanding its operations in Sheffield, with a new 32,000 sq ft Machine Shop also under construction.
