Thousands of young people urged to claim forgotten savings worth £2,200 on average
HMRC is helping hundreds of thousands of young adults track down unclaimed Child Trust Funds that were set up for them as children. With over £400 million currently sitting in forgotten accounts, the government is writing to 21-year-olds to ensure they can access their savings, which average around £2,200 per person.
