A hobbyist metal detectorist has unearthed a beautifully preserved silver mount dating back to the 11th century in a farmer's field near Lowick. The intricate item, which features a human figure flanked by two animals, has been officially declared treasure and offers a fascinating glimpse into England's early medieval history.
