Record number of puffins recorded on Skomer Island for second year running
A record-breaking 52,019 puffins have been counted on the Pembrokeshire island this year, an increase of 8,000 from the previous count. Conservationists are delighted to see the population thriving, with the island's isolation providing a safe haven for these iconic seabirds to breed and flourish.
