Man returns medieval tiles to Shropshire priory after 60 years
A retired surveyor has returned three decorative medieval floor tiles he took as a souvenir during a family trip in the 1960s. After rediscovering the 13th-century fragments in an old toffee tin during a house move, he contacted English Heritage to ensure the artefacts were safely returned to their rightful home at Wenlock Priory.
